A Commemoration

On 18 May 2003, coinciding with the 100th anniversary of his death, members of the Glogów Aufrichtigs commemorated the life of Tuvia Yaankel [Tuvye Yakov] Aufrichtig. Four generations of his descendants gathered at the Union Field Cemetery in Queens, New York to pay homage to Tuvia and to celebrate family unity and membership.

Tributes were led by David Aubrey, Joe Rich, Avi Engel and sole surviving grand-daughter, Judith Aufrichtig Schor, following which family members held a buffet luncheon and impromptu photo call. Special thanks to Jay Kimmel whose video and still photography provided most of the pictures of this special event.
